Hyderabad: 16 structures in Kukatpally bite dust, locals say no prior notice | Hyderabad News

The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) recently conducted a demolition drive at Nalla Cheruvu area in Kukatpally and Ameenpur in Sangareddy to remove illegal constructions on the full tank levels and buffer zones of lakes. In Kukatpally, 16 large sheds were demolished, which were being used for catering services with on-site cooking facilities. The agency also restored 4 acres of government land in Ameenpur. Some affected residents complained about not being given enough time to make alternative arrangements before the demolitions. The main goal of the drive was to protect essential water sources and public properties.
