Hyderabad emerged victorious in the All India Buchi Babu invitation cricket tournament by defeating Chhattisgarh by 243 runs. Tanay Tyagarajan played a key role in the win with impressive bowling figures of 5/61. Despite a fighting century from Ayush Pandey and a fifty from Shashank, Chhattisgarh could only manage 274 runs in response to Hyderabad’s target of 517. In another match, Gowtham Junior College triumphed over Delhi Public School in the U-16 inter-school and college one-day tournament. Additionally, the Women’s U-19 T20 matches saw Team B and Team E emerge victorious. Chhattisgarh and Hyderabad will face off in the final of the Buchi Babu tournament scheduled for September 8 to 11. Shashank Arora is set to appear in ‘Superboys of Malegaon,’ a film premiering at TIFF and BFI London Film Festival before its release in January 2025.
