Protests erupted in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district following the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon. The protests, held in Magam market area and Budgam town, included men, women, and children carrying black flags and chanting anti-Israel and anti-U.S. slogans. Despite a large police presence, the demonstrations remained peaceful. Some market places were closed during the protests, but the overall situation was calm. Nasrallah was killed in Israeli airstrikes and laid to rest the following day. The mourning period for Nasrallah lasted four days, during which the protests took place.
