Governor R N Ravi References Ancient Literature at SASTRA Event Amid Controversy |



The Governor of Thanjavur, R N Ravi, spoke about the importance of unity and growth in India during an event at SASTRA deemed university. He referenced the Sangam-era literary work Purananooru and emphasized the idea of India as a whole family. Ravi highlighted the need for both internal and external growth for the country to progress together. He also commended SASTRA for its development and encouraged students to be a part of building a prosperous India by 2047. The event included the singing of the national anthem and Tamil Thai Vaazhthu in full, after a recent controversy over the omission of certain words from the latter.
