Geo-tagging proves to be a reliable means to keep children safe in Tirupati

During the Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavams, children are being kept safe thanks to geo-tagging by the police department. In cases where children go missing in the crowded events, the Blue Colts team quickly reunites them with their parents. Geo-tagging involves attaching tags with details like the child’s name and parents’ contact information. This system has proven effective in reuniting lost children with their families, with around 24,000 children geo-tagged during the event. Staff members and volunteers are involved in the 24×7 geo-tagging process at 22 locations on Tirumala hills. The system has successfully helped reunite lost children with their parents in a timely manner.
