Gang Arrested for Brutal Murder of 70-Year-Old Woman in Chennai |

A 70-year-old woman living alone in Chengalpet district was murdered for her jewelry by a gang of six men. The woman, Kanniyammal, was running an eatery in Bommarajapuram village when the men approached her asking for money to buy alcohol. When she refused, they attacked her, slit her throat, and stole her earrings and chain. Police have arrested four members of the gang, including a minor, after investigations revealed their involvement. Sachin from Nallathur village was seen near the woman’s house before the murder, leading to his suspected involvement.
