In Chennai, a group of four people were arrested for assaulting a security guard in Mamallapuram. The incident occurred when the security guard, Ezhumalai, tried to stop their car from entering a no-parking zone near the Five Rathas. The group got out of the car and started attacking Ezhumalai, with one of the women even using a plastic pipe to hit him. Thanks to the intervention of an onlooker, Ezhumalai was rescued and taken to a hospital. The incident was captured on video by a tourist and shared on social media, leading to the police taking action and arresting three of the attackers. The search for the fourth person is still ongoing.
