Former Telangana digital media director Konatham Dileep was taken into custody by Hyderabad’s cyber crime police for reposting a video related to a clash between two communities in Jainoor. He was questioned but not arrested yet. Dileep denied being the social media in charge of BRS. He reposted a video and wrote a comment about the violence in Jainoor, which he later deleted. Police detained him for incitement after several people saw the video. BRS leaders questioned his detention, with working president KT Rama Rao criticizing the lack of freedom of speech in Telangana. Rao accused the Congress government of targeting Dileep for questioning its failures.
