The final rites of Ratan Tata, the veteran industrialist and Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus, were performed in Mumbai with a ceremonial guard of honour by the Mumbai Police. His mortal remains were brought to a crematorium in Worli, where Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and other dignitaries were present. Tata’s body was kept at the National Centre for Performing Arts for public tributes before the last rites. Tata, known for transforming the Tata Group into a global conglomerate, passed away at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
