A woman in Kandivli East claimed to be a doctor without proper qualifications, leading to an FIR being registered against her. The BMC received a complaint about the fake doctor and upon investigation found that she had a questionable degree from an unrecognised institute. The Maharashtra Council of Indian Medicine confirmed that her qualification was not suitable for practicing medicine in the state. The Samta Nagar Police registered the FIR after it was revealed that she had been practicing medicine since 2016.
