Engineer Rashid’s interim bail extended until October 28

Baramulla MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid, also known as Engineer Rashid, was granted an extension of his interim bail until October 28 in connection to a 2017 terror funding case. This was due to his father’s health concerns, and the National Investigation Agency did not oppose the application. Rashid had initially been given bail to campaign in the Jammu and Kashmir elections, where he successfully contested as an Independent candidate and defeated former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. His name had come up during an investigation into terrorist funding, and several prominent figures were charged in the case.
