Enchakkal Flyover: Construction of Enchakkal Flyover Begins | Thiruvananthapuram News

Construction of the Enchakkal flyover in Thiruvananthapuram has begun, with the aim of reducing traffic congestion at Enchakkal Junction. The project is expected to be completed in 18 months and will cost Rs 47 crore. The flyover will have four lanes and nine spans, each spanning 25m. Enchakkal Junction has been a major bottleneck for traffic, especially for vehicles coming from Kovalam, Shankhumugham, and Vizhinjam. The construction of the flyover will help in smoother movement of vehicles and reduce congestion at the junction. An earlier proposal for an underpass at the same location was discarded due to opposition from local traders.
