The Supreme Court has put a defamation case against Delhi CM Atishi and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal on hold. The case involves their remarks on the alleged deletion of 30 lakh voters’ names from 2018 electoral rolls, which the high court deemed defamatory towards the BJP. The case was initiated by Delhi BJP leader Rajiv Babbar, who accused the AAP leaders of damaging the reputation of the BJP. The high court upheld the defamation proceedings and dismissed the plea to quash the orders. Atishi, Kejriwal, and other AAP members claimed they did not make any defamatory statements against Babbar or his party.
