EAC-PM Chairman Bibek Debroy passes away at 69

Dr. Bibek Debroy, the Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, passed away at the age of 69. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences and praised Debroy as a scholar with a wide range of knowledge. Debroy had an impressive academic background and had worked in various prestigious institutions. He was also a member of NITI Aayog and received the Padma Shri award in 2015 for his contributions. His passing is a loss to the intellectual landscape of India.
