Drunk Bengaluru Student Driving Father’s Mercedes Mows Down Woman

A 20-year-old student driving a luxurious Mercedes-Benz car, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, knocked down a 30-year-old woman in Bengaluru. The victim, Sandhya A S, lost her life in the accident. The accused, Dhanush, son of the owner of a private bus firm, was arrested and sent to judicial custody. The incident also resulted in injuries to a biker named Syed Arbaz. The accident occurred when Dhanush, along with a friend, was driving at high speed and lost control of the car, hitting the woman while crossing the road. The public intervened and handed them over to the police. Dhanush is facing charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and is currently in custody.
