The civic body in Ahmedabad’s North West Zone has started a campaign to fight against vector-borne diseases by using drones to spray anti-larval pesticides over stagnant lakes and large pools of water. The health department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is focusing on areas where traditional methods have not been effective, such as godowns, vacant plots, and abandoned areas. A team with specialized equipment is leading these efforts on the ground. This campaign will be ongoing as a special drive to control the spread of diseases.
