Drone Tech: SCB uses drone tech to assess properties, eyes ₹34cr in tax | Hyderabad News

The Secunderabad Cantonment Board is expecting to collect around ₹34 crore in property tax revenue for the fiscal year 2024-25, thanks to the inclusion of over 3,000 previously unassessed properties in their records. This increase in properties has been made possible through the use of drone technology and updating tax records. Despite being busy with by-poll and Lok Sabha poll arrangements, the SCB Tax wing has been diligent in sending out tax demand notices to property owners. Online payment services have been successful, with over 40% of property owners already paying their taxes. There is one month left until the June 30 deadline, and the SCB official hopes for more participation in online payments.
