The Supreme Court criticized the Delhi government for not fixing errors in its plea to Haryana about releasing surplus water from Himachal Pradesh to address Delhi’s water shortage. The court warned that it may dismiss the petition if issues persist and emphasized the importance of following court processes seriously. The court expressed its desire to review all files before the hearing to avoid being influenced by news reports. The court also stressed the need to avoid politicizing water issues and directed Himachal Pradesh to release the water starting June 7. The Upper Yamuna River Board was tasked with measuring the water flow for delivery to Delhi.
