Delhi’s air quality dips to ‘very poor’ ahead of Diwali | India News



Delhi’s air quality deteriorated to ‘very poor’ on Sunday due to stagnant winds trapping pollutants. The Central Pollution Control Board recorded an AQI of 355, with severe pollution levels in several areas. The Graded Response Action Plan categorizes air quality into four stages, with Delhi currently in Stage II. Vehicular emissions were the main contributor to pollution. The weather department reported a maximum temperature of 34.2 degrees Celsius with a clear sky forecasted for Monday. PM10 and PM2.5 pollutants were prominent, posing health risks. The situation is expected to persist for the next two days.
