Delhi Ration Cards Controversy: AAP and BJP Clash Over Eligibility Issues |



The leader of the opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, raised concerns about the alleged failure of the AAP government to provide ration cards to the city’s poor despite 90,000 vacant slots. In response, LG VK Saxena has directed the chief secretary to investigate the matter. Gupta highlighted that under the National Food Security Act, two categories of households are eligible for subsidized food articles, but the number of beneficiaries has decreased over the years. AAP refuted these claims, stating that the minister had directed the department to prioritize issuing ration cards to AAY families and prevent misuse.
