Delhi High Court: Delhi High Court Urges Completion of Key Hospital Projects | Delhi News

The Delhi High Court emphasized the importance of completing upcoming state-run hospitals promptly to prevent them from falling into disrepair or getting stuck in legal disputes after construction funds have been spent. The court noted that some projects were nearly finished and further delays would only lead to increased costs. The court also mentioned that although some projects were haphazard and incomplete, three were almost fully complete. The court initiated this case in 2017 due to concerns about critical care in government hospitals. The court directed the AIIMS director to implement recommendations for critical care reforms and scheduled a review meeting for Nov 8. The court declined a request for the health minister to attend the meeting but asked the AIIMS director to consider the minister’s concerns. The court had previously expressed concerns about the state of Delhi’s health department on Sept 2.
