Delhi Government to Enhance Support for Differently Abled with Serious Mobility Issues |

The Delhi government is working on a scheme to provide financial assistance to persons with benchmark disabilities who have serious mobility issues. This assistance would help them avail the services of caregivers. Additionally, the government is considering providing financial aid to children with benchmark disabilities for their transportation needs to commute to schools. Persons with benchmark disabilities have at least 40% of a specified disability and rely on caregivers for their basic needs. The government is working on a scheme to provide additional financial assistance for hiring caregivers, with a final decision expected soon.
