Recently, a Delhi court acquitted three brothers accused of running an organized crime syndicate due to improper sanctioning under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). The court found that the sanctions were given without proper verification and did not meet the necessary conditions for invoking MCOCA.
