Delhi CM Atishi retains 13 ministries, Bharadwaj keeps six and gets two more | India News



Atishi has been sworn in as Delhi’s eighth Chief Minister, succeeding Arvind Kejriwal. She will continue to hold the 13 portfolios she had earlier, while Saurabh Bharadwaj will handle eight ministries and new face Mukesh Kumar Ahlawat will manage five. Atishi is the 17th woman to hold the CM post in independent India and the second youngest in Delhi’s history. She and five ministers took oath, with Atishi touching Kejriwal’s feet for blessings. The new government is expected to prove its majority in a special session in September. Atishi emphasized the emotional significance of the day and urged people to support Kejriwal in future elections. LG Saxena extended his best wishes to the new government.
