The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleged that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI with the intention of keeping him in jail. The Supreme Court granted him bail in the excise policy case, and AAP’s senior functionary Manish Sisodia criticized the CBI for acting as a “caged parrot” of the central government. Sisodia stated that the SC’s order was a slap in the face of the BJP and that they should apologize to the country. Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on charges of money laundering in the excise policy case and was sent to Tihar jail under judicial custody.
