Debris Disposal Rates Set For Revision After A Decade | Ahmedabad News

The solid waste management department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is planning to revise debris disposal rates for the first time since 2014. The proposal will be presented to the health and solid waste committee for approval. The rates have not been updated in nearly a decade, despite an increase in debris generation and operational costs. A new Standard Operating Procedure will be implemented for all sectors, and the C&D debris cleaning squad will be strengthened. Citizens can dispose of debris for free at designated plots or lodge complaints for collection. Additionally, a 300-tonnes per day plant processes C&D waste to produce final products, with AMC purchasing 25% of the products.
