A fan named Lakshmi caused a commotion outside Ballari Central Jail in an attempt to meet actor Darshan, whom she admires. She expressed her desire to marry him and was eventually convinced by jail staff to return home without meeting him. Lakshmi had previously attempted to meet Darshan in a Bengaluru jail but was denied permission.
