Dalit man thrashed for entering temple in Karnataka, 6 held | Bengaluru News



In Bagalkot district, a 28-year-old Dalit man named Arjun Madar was assaulted for entering Dyamavva temple in Ugalwat village. Following his complaint, an FIR was registered against 21 persons, and six have been taken into custody. Dalit leaders are demanding strict action against the perpetrators and have threatened to protest. District minister RB Timmapur stated that further action will be taken after investigating the allegations. Bagalkot SP Y Amarnath Reddy visited the village to review the situation and appealed for peace and harmony to be maintained.
