The New Delhi District court has issued a permanent injunction against an organization operating as “Jan Aushadhi Sangh” in Bhopal for using a deceptively similar name to the registered trademark of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP). The court ruled in favor of PMBJP, protecting the brand’s integrity and ensuring consumers receive authentic products at affordable rates through Jan Aushadhi Kendras. The violator has been restrained from using the words “Jan Aushadhi” and ordered to pay damages of ₹10 lakh. The Ministry highlighted that there are 13,800 Jan Aushadhi Kendras covering almost all districts in the country.
