The Congress President has dissolved the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee, along with its district and block units, in order to restructure the party’s unit in the state. The state Congress chief will remain unchanged. Factionalism has been a longstanding issue in the party, especially during the recent Rajya Sabha election. Names of potential candidates for the new state Congress chief are being considered. The BJP has criticized the internal fighting within the Congress, stating that the recent actions by the AICC president prove their allegations right.
