Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the progress in the Bodoland Territorial Region following the 2020 Bodo Accord. He highlighted the unity and development in the region, symbolized by the Assam Legislative Assembly session being held in Kokrajhar. Sarma also mentioned the significant investments made in the region, including the allocation of Rs 100 crore for new quarters. He noted the expansion of higher education and healthcare since the accord, with plans for a new medical college and Kokrajhar University. Sarma also emphasized the growing prominence of the Bodo language in the Assam Legislative Assembly and assured continued cooperation for the upcoming BTC elections.
