The Karnataka government, led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has set up a committee of Ministers to review progress in investigations into various scams and irregularities from the past. The committee, headed by Home Minister G. Parameshwara, includes other Ministers and has been given two months to submit its findings. While the focus is on scams from previous administrations, it is unclear if current issues will also be included. Investigations into scams such as the Bitcoin scam and irregularities in various corporations are among those being reviewed. The move seems to be a strategy to put pressure on the Opposition BJP and Janata Dal (Secular).
