Chennai rain: CMRL to increase metro train frequency | Chennai News



Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is increasing train services from Oct 15 to 17 due to heavy rainfall alert. Trains will operate from 5am to 11pm with more frequent services during peak hours. The Green Line will have trains every five minutes between 8am-11am and 5pm-8pm. The Blue Line will run every six minutes from the Airport to Wimco Nagar Depot, and every three minutes between Washermenpet Metro and Arignar Anna Alandur Metro. During non-peak hours, trains will be available every seven minutes. The direct train service from Chennai Central to Airport will be suspended to focus on increased service on the Green Line.
