The traffic congestion at Chheda Nagar junction on Eastern Express Highway in Mumbai is finally easing up with the opening of the south-north carriageway for motorists. The flyover, built by MMRDA, is part of a larger improvement project that began in 2017. The project has seen significant milestones, including the opening of an elevated road connecting Chheda Nagar flyover to Amar Mahal flyover. The addition of another flyover crossing above Chheda Nagar junction has further improved traffic flow. The new south-north flyover will facilitate traffic flow from Amar Mahal towards Vikhroli, addressing a major choke point in the area.
