The Indian government has approved the establishment of a ₹1,000 crore venture capital fund to support startups in the space sector. This fund is aimed at promoting innovation and growth in the private space industry, as well as advancing space technology in India. Approximately 40 startups are expected to benefit from this initiative, with the goal of bolstering India’s leadership in space through private sector involvement. The capital injection is also anticipated to attract additional funding for further development in the sector.
