Ashok Koul, General Secretary of J&K BJP, stated that the decision on restoring statehood in J&K will depend on the cessation of attacks like the one in Gagangeer, Ganderbal. He mentioned that PM Modi and the Home Minister have spoken about restoring statehood at the right time. Koul also condemned recent attacks in the region, emphasizing the need for peace and stability. He ruled out the possibility of restoring Article 370 and stated that talks with Pakistan can only happen if militant commanders like Syed Salahudin are handed over to India.
