The Supreme Court upheld the Bombay High Court’s decision to cancel the lookout circular against actor Rhea Chakraborty and her family in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The court accused the CBI, Maharashtra government, and Bureau of Immigration of challenging the decision because the accused are high-profile. The CBI had issued the lookout circular in 2020 after an FIR by Rajput’s family. The case was later transferred to the CBI. Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment in June 2020, leading to speculation and controversy. Rhea Chakraborty, his former partner, has been at the center of the investigation.
