Heavy rain in Bengaluru caused waterlogging in many areas, leading to traffic congestion and damage to homes and vehicles. Residents had to clear water from their houses using utensils and buckets. Some blamed the BBMP for not clearing blocked drains. The city saw slow vehicular movement on many roads, but BBMP teams worked to pump out water and clear the waterlogged areas. Residents in Sai Layout protested against the BBMP for not addressing the recurring issue of waterlogging. The rain returned on Sunday evening, affecting a large part of north Bengaluru. Potholes and waterlogging further slowed down traffic movement in several areas.
