The Army is seeking information from Manipur security advisor Kuldiep Singh regarding intelligence on 900 Kuki militants allegedly entering from Myanmar on August 28. The Army is taking these inputs seriously and has requested details to take necessary action. Mr. Singh had confirmed the intelligence and the government is aware of the situation. The India-Myanmar border is 1,643 km long and Assam Rifles, under the Army’s control, is the primary border guarding force. The inputs have not been shared with the Army yet, but the government is actively monitoring the situation.
