During a phone call with President Putin, Modi emphasized India’s commitment to a peaceful resolution. Doval’s visit is part of the BRICS NSA meeting, where he will also hold talks with Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. Other world leaders, including Italian Prime Minister Meloni and Russian President Putin, have highlighted India’s potential role in resolving the Ukraine conflict. Putin mentioned India, along with China and Brazil, as countries that could provide assistance in resolving the crisis.
