The air quality in Delhi has worsened with the onset of winter, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) crossing 400 in many places like Anand Vihar, Ashok Vihar, and Bawana. The pollution is attributed to stubble burning, firecrackers during Diwali, and transportation emissions. The Supreme Court has taken notice of the severe pollution levels and reprimanded authorities for not enforcing the firecracker ban. The Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP-II) is in place to address the deteriorating air quality. It is important to take immediate action to tackle this severe pollution crisis.
