AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami appointed actor Gautami Tadimalla, ‘Tada’ D Periyasamy, and Fathima Ali to key party positions ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Tadimalla, who quit BJP after a 25-year association, cited a lack of support and betrayal of trust. Periyasamy, a former BJP leader, expressed commitment to his new role in AIADMK. Fathima Ali was appointed to the party’s minority wing. Palaniswami urged party members to support the new appointees and strengthen AIADMK for the upcoming elections.
