After a lull, governor R N Ravi, CM back at daggers drawn



The governor of Tamil Nadu, R N Ravi, expressed concern about efforts to isolate the state from the rest of the country by spreading toxic narratives. He emphasized the importance of Tamil as the oldest language and expressed pride in it. The governor also highlighted the acceptance of Hindi in the state and the decline of Sanskrit education in universities. He warned against separatist agendas and emphasized the role of Tamil Nadu as a cultural and spiritual capital. The governor urged against creating instability based on race, language, or Constitution, and stressed the importance of unity. He called for pride in Tamil and emphasized that linguistic isolation leads to cultural segregation.
