ACB: Telangana ACB Registers Record 145 Cases in Fight Against Corruption | Hyderabad News



The Telangana anti-corruption bureau (ACB) has been actively fighting corruption, registering 145 criminal cases this year – the highest in the last five years. Most cases were against revenue department employees, followed by home department and municipal department employees. The cases involved traps, disproportionate assets, and other allegations. ACB arrested 109 individuals, including 85 government employees, and government has granted prosecution sanction in 72 cases. Prominent cases included the arrest of HMDA’s former director for disproportionate assets and a scam in the animal husbandry department. ACB is still investigating the sheep scam and plans to seek a red corner notice for two missing suspects. Vijay Kumar has succeeded CV Anand as the new director general of the ACB.
