The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced that a meeting of its MLAs will be held on Tuesday morning, where Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is expected to resign. The appointment for Kejriwal to meet Lt Governor V K Saxena at 4.30 pm on Tuesday has also been confirmed. Kejriwal, who recently got bail in an excise policy case, had stated that he would step down within 48 hours and called for early elections in Delhi. He emphasized that he would only return as Chief Minister when the people acknowledged his honesty. Kejriwal had also mentioned that a party leader would take over as Chief Minister until then.
