Yamaha YZF-R1 and R1M revealed

The 2025 Yamaha YZF-R1 and R1M have been unveiled with new carbon-fibre winglets for improved downforce and stability. These models come with upgraded suspension, Brembo brakes, and a powerful 998 cc engine. While they are road-legal in the US, they will only be available as track-only models in Europe due to emissions standards. The R1 and R1M feature MotoGP-inspired aero elements, improved braking performance, and advanced electronic aids. The price for these models in the US is $18,999 and $27,699 respectively. If Yamaha reintroduces the R1 range in India, it will be as track-only models due to emissions regulations. Yamaha currently sells the R15 and R3 in India, with rumors of the R7 coming soon.
