Xiaomi is aiming to create the fastest electric car in the world with its SU7 Ultra prototype. The car recently set a new lap record at the Nurburgring track in Germany, beating the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT. While the prototype’s lap time won’t be officially recognized, it does showcase the performance capabilities of the SU7. The production version is expected to be tested at the same track in 2025. The SU7 has received positive feedback in China, with Ford CEO Jim Farley even importing one to the US. The car comes in three versions with different battery pack options and ranges. The top-end SU7 Max offers impressive performance figures. The base price in China ranges from 215,900 to 299,900 yuan. Although the SU7 made its debut in India, there are currently no plans for a launch there as Xiaomi focuses on the Chinese market.
