Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor first drive review: Just another rebadge?

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, with subtle differences between the two crossovers. Priced from Rs 7.73 lakh onwards, the Taisor is a subcompact SUV based on the Fronx, part of a successful partnership between Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. The Taisor features a new grille, redesigned LED Daytime Running Lamps, and new alloy wheels, along with a dual-tone cabin with modern features like touchscreen infotainment, cruise control, and a head-up display. It offers three powertrain options, including a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Taisor delivers a smooth ride with decent handling, making it a competitive option in the crossover segment. While priced slightly higher than the Fronx, the Taisor offers a longer warranty and potentially shorter waiting periods, making it a compelling choice for buyers.
