The Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) in Delhi is set to revolutionize travel between Delhi and Meerut, with a travel time of less than an hour once the entire 82-km corridor is completed by June 2025. A trial run was conducted on the Sahibabad-New Ashok Nagar section, marking a major milestone towards the launch of India’s first RRTS. The Namo Bharat train will offer commuters a fast and efficient travel option, reducing travel time to less than 40 minutes between New Ashok Nagar and Meerut South RRTS station. The integration of various transit modes at stations like Anand Vihar will provide seamless convenience for commuters.
