The country’s first ‘Vande Metro’ service, the Ahmedabad-Bhuj route, will be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Gujarat. The train will have nine stations and cover 360 kilometers in 5 hours and 45 minutes at a top speed of 110 kilometers per hour. The fully unreserved air-conditioned train can accommodate 2,058 standing and 1,150 sitting passengers. The service is designed with state-of-the-art features like the ‘KAVACH’ anti-collision system. PM Modi will also inaugurate various development projects and the Global Renewable Energy Investors Meet and Expo during his visit.
